The name change, according to Sectigo CEO Bill Holtz, aimed to eliminate the confusion that exists in the Comodo CA brand in relation to the Comodo Group, but also to allow it to enter a wider market for solutions in the electronic security.

It is a fact that Comodo CA , hereinafter referred to as Sectigo , is the largest issuer of SSL certificates with more than 100 million certificate sales used by 700 thousand companies worldwide.
